Volos NFC put SEVEN past AE Karaiskakis in their debut match in the Football League while Doxa Dramas came away 2:3 winners away to Trikala. Iraklis and Platanias got off to winning starts as Sparti and AOX Kissamikos drew 1:1.

In their first ever game in the Greek second division, Volos NFC demolished AE Karaiskakis with a 7:0 scoreline. The Thessaly club took a 2:0 lead into halftime before netting five second-half goals in their impressive start to the season. Their second-half performance was highlighted by scoring four goals in the span of twelve minutes from the 62nd to 74th minute.
Platanias’ return to the Football League was accompanied by a win at home to Aittitos Spaton. The hosts struggled in the first half but two goals in the span of one minute from Kortstam (61) and Papanikolaou (62) put Platanias in control. The visitors managed to pull one back in the 71st minute thought Spyropoulos, but it was not enough as Platanias held on for the victory.
In the battle of newly promoted sides between Iraklis and Irodotos, the Thessaloniki club came out victorious thanks to a lone goal by Perrone in the 9th minute. In Trikala, 10-men Doxa Dramas celebrated a 2:3 victory over the local side (AO Trikal) in the day’s most entertaining matchup while AOX Kissamikos came from behind to play to a 1:1 draw away to Sparti.
