In-form Lamia win away to Trikala

Lamia continued their good form as they defeated Trikala 0-1 on the road in their first leg matchup in the Greek Cup round of 16.

Lamia, who have been in excellent form in the Super League, took a big step towards the quarter-finals of the Greek Cup as they came away with a narrow 0-1 road victory over Trikala in their round of 16 first-leg clash. Lazar Romanić’s deflected strike in the 51st minute proved to be the difference in this Thursday evening fixture.
Despite playing two divisions below Lamia, Trikala put up a good fight and were unlucky to concede defeat as they not only played well in defense but also created multiple chances in the second half to equalize. Unfortunately for Trikala, it was not meant to be, and they will have a difficult task ahead of next week’s second leg in Lamia.
The second leg is scheduled for next Wednesday with kick-off set for 15:00..
