Apollon Smyrni recorded a narrow win away to Doxa Drama while Platanias were 2-0 winners at home to struggling Apollon Pontou in Monday’s Super League 2 action.

Platanias recorded an important win on Monday as they took down Apollon Pontou 2-0 at home. Although the Cretans won by a two-goal margin, the scoreline was deceiving on how the match played out. Platanias needed 73 minutes to break down the visitors, and they did so through a successful spot-kick from Loukinas. Kragiopoulos sealed all three points for Platanias in second-half stoppage time with his insurance marker.
Platanias sit in ninth place with 20 points while relegation-bound Apollon Pontou are tied for bottom spot with Kerkyra on -3 points.
Apollon Smyrnis left it late away to Doxa Dramas with the visitors recording a narrow 0-1 victory. The hero for Apollon was substitute Markovski, who netted home with a well-placed header six minutes from the end to give his side a vital win in their fight for promotion.
Apollon are now four points behind leaders PAS Giannina, who dropped points over the weekend, while Doxa Drama are in tenth place with just 17 points.
