Former AEK man Viktor Klonaridis, who played on loan at Panathinaikos from January until the end of the season, recently stated that he does not wish to continue at the Trifylli and AEK have made a quick move for the winger. According to sources, a deal between Lans (own the player’s rights) and AEK will be reached at €200,000 in the coming days. Details between AEK and Klonaridis still need to be finalized, however if a deal is reached, the 24-year old will sign a 3-year contract.

Tuesday will be the day where AEK will have a clearer picture on Nacho Scocco’s case. The Argentine will play his final game with Newell’s Old Boys and the 32-year old will make a decision about his future. However, sources mention that Scocco is close to signing with River Plate as the club is willing to offer €3 million to Newell’s Old Boys for his transfer.

Araujo’s return to Athens remains high on AEK’s signing list. Spanish newspaper “Marca” recently stated that Las Palmas’ new head coach wants to see Araujo in preseason training and a final decision will be made of his future with the club. However, the Kitrinomavri are keen on strengthening their attack and recent reports state that they are close to signing another Las Palmas striker, Marko Livaja. Livaja made 23 appearances last season and scored 7 goals with 3 assists in the Spanish la Liga.

AEK did announce a few days ago the signing of Panagiotis Tsintotas who agreed to a 3+1 year deal with the Kitrinomavri.

Finally, Didac’s attitude towards AEK has outraged Dimitris Melissanidis. The Spaniard insists on presenting himself to Espanyol as a free agent, although he still has a contract with AEK. Although Melissanidis was not fond of Didac’s abilities, he remained at the club per Jimenez’s request. Didac will certainly never wear an AEK jersey again and his departure his imminent.
