PAOK 77-88 KOLOSSOS RODOU

The misery continues for the Dikefalos tou Vorra. On Sunday, PAOK faced Kolossos at home in a vital battle against fellow relegation candidates, subsequently contrived to concede an 11-point defeat.

PAOK, enduring a terrible campaign in all competitions, have lost three out of their last four games as they languish in 13th place of the table with a 5-13 record. Kolossos, for their part, have now won two in a row following their surprise victory against Promitheas last week.

Kolossos were superior in three of the four quarters in Thessaloniki.

Lassanah Kromah, a consistent scorer for Kolossos, registered an impressive 31 points. Jermain Love scored 15 points for the visitors.

PROMITHEAS 81-61 IFAISTOS LIMNOU

Recovering from their shock loss to Kolossos, Promitheas got back on track in the Basket League on Sunday, comfortably defeating Ifaistos Limnou 81-61 in Patras.

Promitheas, eager to show their strength, won the first quarter 27-8 as they came flying out of the blocks. Later on, Ifaistos Limnou did win both the second and fourth periods, but the match was over as a contest.

Dimitris Agravanis (16 points) and Loukas Mavrokefalidis (14 points) were the top Promitheas scorers.

At the moment, Promitheas sit in third place of the standings with 12 wins and six defeats, while Ifaistos Limnou are fifth with a 10-8 record.

LAVRIO 75-61 PERISTERI

Fresh from securing qualification to the next stage of the Basketball Champions League, Peristeri were full of confidence before taking on Lavrio away from home, but they slipped to a heavy 14-point loss on the road.

Initially, Peristeri kept pace with their opponents, but poor showings in the second (11-18) and third (12-20) quarters put paid to their hopes of winning.

Peristeri occupy fourth position of the standings with 11 wins and seven defeats on the board. Lavrio aren’t far behind in sixth (9-9).

Moses Kingsley did impress for Peristeri with 16 points and six rebounds.

LARISA 82-72 IONIKOS NIKAIA

Before facing Ionikos Nikaia at home, Larisa had last their previous two Basket League matches on the spin, but they caught the eye with a strong 82-72 triumph over the visitors.

Ionikos, however, have now lost five of their last six games.

Nevertheless, despite their struggles, Ionikos Nikaia are still in the playoff hunt, sitting in seventh spot with eight wins and 10 defeats. Larisa are in ninth with a 7-11 record.

Brandon Rush starred for Larisa with 23 points and nine rebounds to his name.

PANIONIOS 60-76 IRAKLIS

The Panthers are now without a win in four straight matches. On Saturday, Iraklis cruised to an important triumph in Palaio Faliro, outscoring Panionios 76-60 to grab their second consecutive victory in the Basket League.

Until the fourth quarter, Panionios were within touching distance of Iraklis, but the Thessaloniki club saw out the match successfully by winning the concluding period 21-10.

Jamal Shuler gained 20 points, five rebounds and three assists for Iraklis.

With 18 rounds in the books, Iraklis are eighth in the table (8-10), but Panionios languish in 12th place (6-12).
