Recently, Koulouris found the net in PAOK’s 1:2 friendly to FC Nordsjaelland in the Netherlands, however the Dikefalos tou Vorra opted to send the forward to Atromitos on loan as to give him playing time in the upcoming 2018/2019 campaign. Atromitos confirmed the deal with this statement:

“Atromitos FC are happy to announce the loan of PAOK forward Efthymis Koulouris for one season. Koulouris will be one of our first-team players, since he is a footballer with great promise and will help fellow young Greeks improve and increase the team’s level.”

During the 2017/2018 campaign, Koulouris made 13 Super League appearances for PAOK, registering three goals. The 22-year old, who progressed through the PAOK ranks and is a vital member of the Greece U21 squad, will wear the number 20 in Peristeri.

CHATZIISAIAS TO REMAIN ON LOAN AT ATROMITOS

In other news, PAOK have extended the contract of centre back Dimitris Chatziisaias until 2021, but he will continue playing his football at Atromitos for the second consecutive season as a loanee. Already 25, Chatziisaias arrived at PAOK from Panionios in 2016, however he has only played in five matches for the Dikefalos tou Vorra since signing.

PUKKI JOINS NORWICH

Eager to bolster their forward line even more, the Thessaloniki outfit showed strong interest in Finnish forward Teemu Pukki, but no agreement was found with the player’s management. As a result, Pukki decided to move to England, penning a three-year deal with Norwich City in the English Championship, leaving Brondby after his contract with the Danish side reached its completion.

Following the first stage of pre-season training, PAOK have now returned to Thessaloniki, before the team fly out to the Netherlands once again on Sunday ahead of the upcoming UEFA Champions League third qualifying round against FC Basel.

In three friendly matches, a thumping 5:0 victory was earned against Gent U23, but PAOK then drew 2:2 with Anderlecht and dropped a 1:2 loss to Nordsjaelland. Nevertheless, the main thing at this point in time is to get the players in shape for the competitive matches which will soon begin.
