The 22-year-old scored his side’s first goal after 41 minutes and laid on a second for teammate Alexandros Nikolias on the hour mark to hand newly-appointed Apollon coach Alberto Monteagudo a debut loss.
Hilal El-Helwe reduced the deficit to just one goal with a 79th-minute strike for the home side, who struggled to contain PAS throughout, but it wasn’t enough to rouse a late comeback, even after the visitors had Edwin Barros sent off seven minutes from full-time.
The result means PAS, who have three points after three matches, lie ninth in the early standings, while Apollon are yet to pick up a point so far.
