Luciano will be Panathinaikos’ striker for the new season. The 24-year old Brazilian is expected to arrive in Greece by the end of the week and sign a new deal with the Athenian club. Panathinaikos and Corinthians seem to have agreed to terms for the striker with Corinthians’ president stating on Tuesday that Luciano will continue his career in Europe.

The Brazilian will join the rest of the team for pre-season training as Ouzounidis looks to quickly integrate him into the roster before the Europa League qualifiers begin in just over two weeks.

Panathinaikos are also awaiting the response of 20-year old Bryan Cabezas of Atalanta. The Trifylli have already agreed to a deal with the Italian club for Cabezas’ one-year loan move to Athens, however the winger has asked for a one-day delay in responding to Panathinaikos’ offer. Cabezas is expect to give his final answer today with Panathinaikos hoping for a positive outcome.

The Prasini will not stop there as they will look to sign an additional striker and winger before they kick off their season at the end of July. Panathinaikos looked disciplined in the back in their 2-1 friendly win over Kortrijk on Tuesday, however the lack of attacking players is something that has kept Ouzounidis worried since the departures of Leto, M’Poku, Klonaridis, and of course the club’s former captain, Marcus Berg.
