Massive win for Olympiacos

First-placed Olympiacos beat second-placed Jug Dubrovnik of Croatia 6-5 at home, to maintain their unbeaten record in the 2019-20 LEN Champions League.

The Erythrolefki got off to a great start, holding a 2-0 lead at the conclusion of the first period. The Croats were stronger in the second period, but the hosts still led 3-2 going into halftime. Olympiacos then maintained a 5-4 lead after the third period, and ultimately held on for a 6-5 victory.
Captain Konstantinos Mourikis led Olympiacos offensively with two goals. Five different players each scored one goal for Jug Dubrovnik, including Greek international Alexandros Papanastasiou.
The two teams will return to action on February 5, when Jug Dubrovnik will host Olympiacos following an international break for the European Championships.
