The first round of meetings of the Deputy Minister of Culture and Sport, George Vassiliadis, with representatives of the Super League other than the Big-4 was completed.

Mr. Vasiliades welcomed in his office Miss Dara, Zamani (Panionios), Borovillo, Caimenakis (Asteras Tripolis), Spanos, Betsi (Atromitos), Piagglou (Xanthi), Belounoni (Panetolikos) and Christovasili (PAS Giannina).

The meeting was held in a very good climate, and the group representatives stressed that they supported the changes the Secretary of Sports wants to bring, but they opposed the suspension of the championship.

Giorgos Spanos, the powerful man of Atromitos, said: "We had a constructive meeting with the Minister, and he asked for our views on some suggestions on tightening the disciplinary code. We agreed and said that we have no objection, because the specific groups that were here today are not the problem and have shown that. What we asked the Minister is that there is disciplinary law and it should be applied and given responsibility to those who really have it.

All teams were opposed to stopping the championship because it is causing us financial problems. The Minister listened to our concerns very carefully and we talked about various issues. We had a very good conversation, and we hope to sit on a table, to isolate some things that bring an unpleasant picture."

For the image this brings to Greek football: "We are mistaken for the image of football with some behaviours, and we should be more self-restraining and controlling of our behaviours. If we do that and there is honesty among us, there will be better days."

When to start the championship: "It is necessary to solve the problems with the disciplinary calls and to be clear on the scoreboard." I did not like the decision at 1:10 AM at night (when PAOK was given their 3 points back for the incidents with Olympiakos). This decision had to be -3 and the game to Olympiakos or a repeat of the match."

For the image with the weapon of Ivan Savvides: "As a Greek citizen and as a factor I do not agree, the weapon I did not like visually, but there are many hidden weapons and we have seen them in attacks with referees, to your colleagues.

No one knows what pressure a factor pulls. I do not bless my beard, I do not get out myself. The behavior is not right: we need to have restraint and take the right example out. "

The president of FC Panionios, Christos Dara, commented: "We have discussed things together and we have to implement them immediately."

The main changes proposed are in relation to the disciplinary code, if a team is involved in two incidents that result in an abandoned match, the club will face relegation.

There is also a change in the security rules and who holds accountability and responsibility, this will be done with the police.
