Despite a comfortable win over Ifaistos Limnou on Sunday night, Olympiacos left the island of Lemnos with growing concerns surrounding the health of starting center Nikola Milutinov.

Milutinov, who was limited to just over five minutes of game time on Sunday, suffered a suspected knee injury midway through the first quarter. The Serbian big man landed awkwardly on his knee following a battle for a rebound with Ifaistos’ Georgios Diamantakos.

Milutinov, who was in obvious pain following the incident, was seen to walk off the court without assistance but immediately required attention from the training staff on the sidelines.

More information about the severity of the injury is expected in the coming days, with scans on the 24-year-old’s knee scheduled for Monday.

Olympiacos’ injury woes could have been compounded when Georgios Printezis bumped knees with Kostantinos Gondikas, but the Greek international returned to action after being seen stretching his leg on the sidelines.

The Erythrolefki will be hoping that Printezis does not feel any after-effects from the knock. Olympiacos currently sit second in the Basket League standings with a 15-1 record while holding down sixth place in the EuroLeague with a 12-9 record on the continent.
