The rumours suggesting Oliveira is on the verge of joining Wolves are intensifying. As previously reported on AGONAsport, Wolves recently began making enquiries concerning Oliveira’s availability, with their initial bid of four million euros being rejected. However, if the reports in the Greek media are to be believed, they are now preparing to activate his release clause of 6.5 million.

Wolves are also close to securing the signature of Portuguese winger Daniel Podence for around 25-28 million from Olympiacos.

So far, Oliveira has been a consistent performer in the Super League for AEK since joining from Norwich City in the off-season, registering nine goals and three assists in 15 matches. He is valued at 3.5 million euros by Transfermarkt.

ARAUJO CLOSE TO AEK RETURN

Nevertheless, even if Oliveira is sold, AEK fans are likely to have something to smile about.

Sergio Araujo, who won the hearts of the AEK faithful during two separate stints as a loanee from Las Palmas, is reportedly on the verge of signing a permanent contract with the Enosis. Araujo hasn’t played for AEK since returning to parent club Las Palmas in the summer of 2018 after claiming the Super League title.

Reports in Spain have stated that Las Palmas have agreed to sell Araujo to AEK for three million. There is one catch, though: AEK will only sign the Argentine forward if Oliveira is offloaded to Wolves.

AEK must wait until Oliveira joins Wolves to proceed with the formal process of signing Araujo.

In the 2019/2020 season, Araujo has been hampered by injuries at Las Palmas, with the 27-year-old having only participated in four La Liga 2 games. His value is rated at 1.5 million by Transfermarkt.
