Olympiacos confirm loan signing of Dias
Olympiacos have confirmed the arrival of Gil Dias, with the Portuguese winger joining the Piraeus club on loan from AS Monaco.

On Thursday afternoon, Dias was pictured arriving at Athens International Airport, and after undergoing his medical tests, Olympiacos unveiled his arrival with this following statement on their social media accounts:
“Gil Dias welcome to Olympiacos!”
Dias, 22, will play on loan at Olympiacos from Monaco until June 2020, and if they wish, the Erythrolefkoi will then have the option to sign the winger on a permanent basis.
In his maiden interview with Olympiacos, Dias revealed his happiness at joining the Thrylos: “I’m happy to be here and I can’t wait to start playing in front of the club’s fans. I want to show what I am capable of and prove my worth to Olympiacos. My message is that I want the supporters to be there at every match, as they always are, to help us win. I have a lot of work ahead of me, and I will give everything for Olympiacos.”
In the summer of 2018, Dias joined Nottingham Forest on loan from Monaco, but after making 21 appearances in the English Championship, Olympiacos came calling with boss Pedro Martins reportedly requesting the board to sign him. Dias has been a Monaco player since 2015, however he has subsequently played as a loanee at Varzim, Rio Ave, Fiorentina, Nottingham Forest and now Olympiacos.
