Olympiacos ready for Last 16 draw in Europa League

Olympiacos, who famously defeated Arsenal in London, are ready for the draw for the Last 16 of the UEFA Europa League which will take place on Friday.

On Thursday, Olympiacos defied the odds in the English capital, slaying Arsenal 2-1 in extra time thanks to a last-gasp goal from the prolific Youssef El Arabi. Pierre Emerick Aubameyang had not long equalised after Pape Abou Cisse forced an extra 30 minutes at the Emirates Stadium with a superb headed goal during the second half.

Olympiacos had initially lost the first leg 1-0 in Piraeus.

Tomorrow, the draw for the Round of 16 of the Europa League will be held in Switzerland at 13:00 CET, with these following clubs involved:

There are no seedings or country protection for this draw. 

The first legs are scheduled for Thursday 12 March, with the second legs on Thursday 19 March. Kick-off times are split between 18:55 CET and 21:00 CET, as they were in the group stage and Round of 32. The quarter-final and semi-final draws will take place on Friday 20 March.

Olympiacos began their European campaign in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, subsequently defeating Viktoria Plzen, Basaksehir and Krasnodar on their way to the group stage. The Greeks ended up finishing in third place of Group B in the Champions League ahead of Red Star Belgrade and behind Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur.
