Olympiacos record one of biggest European wins against Krasnodar

In thrashing FC Krasnodar 4:0 this week in the UEFA Champions League, Olympiacos have recorded one of their biggest European victories in history.

Dominating proceedings at the packed Karaiskakis Stadium, Olympiacos put an out-of-sorts Krasnodar side to the sword on Wednesday, with Miguel Angel Guerrero, Lazar Randjelovic (twice) and Daniel Podence all scoring to secure a healthy 4:0 advantage ahead of the second leg in Russia. The winner of the tie qualifies for the coveted group stages of the Champions League.

This is the second time this season when Olympiacos have claimed a thumping 4:0 Champions League win. The Erythrolefki had previously beaten Viktoria Plzen by the same score in the second qualifying round.

It was also the 12th time when Olympiacos defeated a team by four or more goals in a continental competition. The largest margin of victory is five goals (5:0, 6:1), achieved four times in matches against Mozyr, Nordsjaelland and Besa.
