On Thursday, Olympiacos released this following statement:

“Olympiacos FC announces the signing of a contract with Nikola Cumic.”

Cumic, 21, will continue to play on loan at Radnicki Nis until the completion of the 2019/2020 campaign. Olympiacos paid the Serbian club a reported fee of 500,000 euros for Cumic.

The young Serbian shared his feelings from joining Olympiacos:

“I am very happy to join Greece’s biggest club, Olympiacos. I had a conversation with my good friend Lazar Randjelovic, who told me about the team, the facilities and the fans. I didn’t have any second thoughts, even though PAOK did approach me. I had already struck an agreement with Olympiacos. This is a great challenge for me, and I will try to live up the my expectations.”

Cumic is capable of playing anywhere across the attacking line. As a youngster, he progressed through the academy of Sloboda Uzice, before moving to Metalac Gornji Milanovac and then Radnicki Nis. In the current campaign, Cumic has made 16 appearances for Radnicki Nis, scoring four goals and dishing out the one assist.

He made his debut for the under 21 Serbian national team in September.
