All signs are pointing towards the second leg being played in England. On Thursday, reports stated that Wolves have submitted the relevant documentation concerning the second match against Olympiacos to UEFA, confirming that the English authorities have allowed the club to host the game at the Molineux Stadium in Wolverhampton. The coronavirus situation had threatened to result in the match being played on neutral territory in Germany.

The battle will be staged behind closed doors.

Official confirmation from UEFA is expected at a later date. The game will be played on either the 5th of 6th of August.

In March, Olympiacos competed against Wolves in the first leg of the Round of 16 duel inside an empty Karaiskakis Stadium, playing to a 1-1 draw. Initially, Youssef El Arabi gave 10-man Olympiacos the lead in Piraeus, but Wolves subsequently equalised through Pedro Neto’s deflected free kick.

Olympiacos must score in the second leg in order to stand a chance of qualifying for the Europa League quarter-finals.
