On Tuesday, the 2019/20 Super League draw took place with all 14 teams finding out their schedule ahead of the new season. In the 2019/2020 campaign, each club will play 26 matches in the Super League regular season, before playoffs and playouts subsequently decide the final standings. All points accumulated in the regular season will be transferred to the playoffs and playouts.
Panathinaikos have struggled over the years both on and off the field but will hope to put together a convincing season as the club looks to rebuild on all fronts. A strong start away to Lamia and at home to OFI will be key before the Prasini travel to Thessaloniki for a big matchup against Aris on matchday three.
The Greens will then look to do damage to their arch-rivals Olympiacos one week later in the derby of eternal enemies at the Olympic Stadium on matchday four. A tricky set of matches will follow including fixtures away to Panionios, at home to Xanthi, away to Atromitos, and at home to Larissa.
Matchday nine will be the first of two consecutive derby matches, first away to PAOK at the Toumba Stadium followed by the Athenian derby at home to AEK.
Panathinaikos’ schedule allows for a late push as the Greens will play Panetolikos (away), Asteras Tripolis (home), and Volos (away) to conclude their first half of the season.
