Panathinaikos breeze past Lavrio; Ionikos come up short against Promitheas
Panathinaikos comfortably defeated Lavrio at home in the Basket League on Sunday, while Ionikos Nikaia conceded a narrow loss against Promitheas.

PANATHINAIKOS 105-74 LAVRIO
In the EuroLeague, Panathinaikos had conceded a disappointing loss to Olimpia Milano on Thursday, but they quickly put that defeat behind them to beat Lavrio 105-74 at the OAKA Indoor Hall.
Panathinaikos, who continue to lead the Basket League standings with 13 victories and two losses, quickly put the game to bed by winning the first two periods by large margins.
Lavrio, for their part, sit in sixth position of the table with a 7-8 record.
For Panathinaikos, Konstantinos Mitoglou registered an impressive double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds, while Ioannis Papapetrou scored 25 points.
Nick Calathes was limited to just three assists.
IONIKOS NIKAIA 69-73 PROMITHEAS
Ionikos Nikaia are now beginning to struggle. On the back of two successive defeats, Ionikos suffered another loss on Sunday, as Promitheas claimed a four-point victory on the road.
In the first quarter, Ionikos Nikaia bossed proceedings as they won it 16-7, but Promitheas came roaring back by winning the second period 26-16 and the third 24-13.
Dimitris Agravanis achieved a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds.
Promitheas occupy third position of the table with a 11-4 record, while Ionikos Nikaia are seventh with seven wins and eight defeats.
