Panathinaikos confirm Chatzigiovanis contract extension
Panathinaikos have confirmed that Tasos Chatzigiovanis has extended his contract with the Athenian club until 2022.

On Wednesday, Panathinaikos released this following statement:
“Panathinaikos FC announces the extension of Tasos Chatzgiovanis’ contract. Our player signed his new deal which is valid until 2022.”
Chatzigiovanis, 22, shared his emotions:
“I am very happy because I always wanted to remain at Panathinaikos. This club made me a football player. I want to do everything possible on the pitch to show why the club wanted to keep me here. This is a very important moment in my career, and I would like to dedicate it to my family who have always stuck by me in the tough times. We want to make the Panathinaikos fans happy.”
The Greek winger scored the winner for Panathinaikos at Atromitos in the Super League last weekend. His previous deal with the Prasini was due to expire in the summer of 2020.
Chatzigiovanis’ wish to have a release clause of around two million euros included in his contract was reportedly granted. The gifted attacker had been linked with a possible move to AEK before extending his Panathinaikos deal.
