Panathinaikos hold lowest average age in Super League

In accordance with statistics provided by CIES, the average age of the Panathinaikos starting line-up is the lowest in the Super League.

This year, Panathinaikos did sign a handful of more experienced foreigners such as Yohan Mollo and Bart Schenkeveld, but the Prasini still possess a youthful squad plenty of talented, promising players for the future. Giannis Bouzoukis, for example, is rightly regarded as one of the most gifted young midfielders in Greece with the 21-year-old having rapidly become a key player for Panathinaikos.

Recently, CIES revealed that Panathinaikos had the youngest starting line-up in the Super League after the first eight rounds of play, with their average age standing at 25.4. In comparison, the average age of the PAOK starting line-up is 27.2, while Olympiacos’ is 27.3 and AEK’s has been recorded as 27.7.

Lamia are in last place with an average age of 29.6.
