Panionios recorded their first win of the year on Wednesday, beating Asteras Tripolis in their rearranged Matchday 15 clash in Nea Smyrni, while Lamia eased their relegation worries with a 2-1 home win over Apollon Smyrnis.

At the Nea Smyrni Stadium the match was settled by Fiorin Durmishaj’s solitary goal after 36 minutes, as Apostolos Mantzios’ men sealed a three-point haul for the first time in four matches, having started the year with a draw at OFI Crete followed by two straight defeats by PAOK and AEK.
The result helps Panionios climb to ninth spot on 22 points, while life is looking more difficult for Asteras, who are 11th with 18 points which puts them only six points clear of the relegation places.

In Lamia, the home side sealed all three points against basement club Apollon thanks to a brace from Jeronimo Barrales.
The Argentine ace struck after 12 and 24 minutes, the second coming from the penalty spot, while Hilal El-Helwe was on target in the 18th minute for the visitors, who still look like certainties for relegation.
The win lifts Lamia up to 11th with 20 points, while Apollon remain stuck on six points and they are now 10 points from safety.
