The 19-year old started his youth career at Brazilian club Sao Paulo before making the switch to rivals Corinthians at the age of 11. He was promoted to the senior squad when he was 18 and spent one season there where he made 3 appearances for the club and managed to score once. Last season, the youngster moved to Akhmat Grozny in Russia. He made 24 league appearances in the Russian Premier League and scored on 3 occasions.

It is reported that he will sign a three-year deal worth 5 million euros, earning a salary of more than 1 million Euros per year. The deal is expected to be finalised within the day as Jaba arrived in Thessaloniki early Thursday morning.

PAOK attacking option, Djalma Campos, is set to depart the club with reports indicating that the Thessalonikis have come to an agreement with Turkish side Alanyaspor for an 800,000 Euro transfer fee. The 31-year old will leave after having 2 successful seasons in the black and white jersey, making 49 appearances and scoring 9 goals.

There are intensifying rumours going around the Italian media indicating that PAOK goalkeeper Alexandros Paschalakis is attracting interest from numerous Serie A clubs such as Roma, Napoli, Fiorentina, Sampdoria, Udinese, and SPAL. The PAOK shot stopper, who had an incredible season, has elevated himself by becoming one of the best goalkeepers in Greece and his great form has certainly not gone unnoticed by foreign scouts. Clubs such as Benfica, Sporting Lisbon, and Galatasaray are also monitoring the situation with Paschalakis.

Paschalakis' contract ends with PAOK at the end of next season but it may be best for PAOK to sell the goalkeeper now in order to maximise the amount they receive from Paschalakis’ buyout clause which is 5,000,000 euros.

PAOK are also closing in on the signature of Finnish striker Teemu Pukki. Both PAOK and the players management are reportedly negotiating a deal, with the Dikefalos tou Vorra close to securing the 28-year-old. The official announcement is expected to be delayed now that PAOK are finalising a deal with Jaba.

PAOK were also expected to secure the signing of PAS Giannina striker Pedro Conde, but it is now understood that Cypriot club, APOEL, as well as clubs from Saudi Arabia have joined the race to secure the Spaniard’s services.
