On Wednesday night, PAOK cruised to a 0:3 victory over Basel to celebrate their place in the next round of UEFA Champions League qualifying, where they will meet Russian side Spartak Moscow. The emphatic victory on the road tied PAOK’s second largest away win in European competitions in club history.

In 2003, PAOK managed to defeat Lynn Oslo of Norway 0:3 in the first round of the UEFA Cup and 13 years later, PAOK defeated Dinamo Tbilisi of Georgia with the same scoreline in the playoffs of the UEFA Europa League.

PAOK’s biggest road win in Europe came back in 1999 when the Dikefalos tou Vora defeated another Georgian side, Locomotiv Tbilisi, with a whopping 0:7 scoreline. In that match Georgiadis (17, 25), Sabry (43), Frousos (56, 62), Marangos (67), and Frantzeskos (69) found the back of the net.
