The Dikefalos tou Vorra played to goalless draw away to Asteras Tripolis in Thursday’s Greek Cup action and booked their ticket to the Final for a third consecutive season, winning the series 0:2 on aggregate. PAOK’s failure to score in the second leg brought an end to their 63-game scoring streak in all domestic competitions (taking into account matches that started and ended).

The last time PAOK failed to score in a Super League or Cup match was back on November 5, 2017 when PAOK fell in a league fixture to eventual champions Super League AEK 1:0 at the OAKA Stadium. Since that match, PAOK have managed to score at least one goal in each of their domestic fixtures, a streak that lasted 63 matches until Thursday evening.

Of course, this will not bother coach Razvan Lucescu or his players as they are on pace to win their third consecutive Greek Cup title and first ever League/Cup double.

When taking into account all competitions, PAOK’s last scoreless match came 148 days ago in a 4:0 defeat to Chelsea in the UEFA Europa League. PAOK have failed to score on four other occasions this season, all in Europe, including matches against Chelsea (0:1) and Vidi (0:1, 2:0) in the Europa League group stages and against Spartak Moscow (0:0) in Champions League qualifying.
