Party in Piraeus as Olympiacos celebrate 45th title


Piraeus was certainly the place to be on Sunday evening, as Olympiacos celebrated their 45th national title in passionate fashion with their supporters.

The three-year wait to become Greek champions again is over. Dominant throughout the campaign, Olympiacos cruised to their 45th domestic championship this season, finishing an overwhelming 18 points ahead of PAOK. Towards the end of the playoffs, the Erythrolefki did lose their unbeaten run to PAOK at home, but they still ended the Super League season on a positive note with a comfortable 3-0 beating of AEK. Mathieu Valbuena, Lazar Randjelovic and Mohamed Camara struck gold as Olympiacos cut the AEK defence open at will.

After the final whistle brought an end to the Super League season, the celebrations could well and truly begin for Olympiacos, as the club hoisted the trophy aloft for the first time since 2017:

Following the trophy presentation at the Karaiskakis Stadium, the team left for a tour around Piraeus on an open top bus, with their joyous fans tagging along:
