Paul signs for Olympiacos BC, LeDay leaves

On Saturday afternoon, Olympiacos BC revealed that Brandon Paul has penned a two-year contract with the Erythrolefki, while Zach LeDay departed the club.

Olympiacos released this following statement:

“Olympiacos BC announces its agreement with Brandon Paul for the next two years.

The 28-year-old American guard is the third addition this summer after Antonis Koniaris and Kevin Punter.”

Paul arrives from the Zhejiang Golden Bulls. In the second half of the 2018/2019 campaign, Paul made 21 appearances for the Chinese outfit, contributing with an average of 28.4 points, 9.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists.

In the past, Paul has played in the NBA for the San Antonio Spurs, while also representing the likes of Anadolu Efes, Nizhny Novgorod and FIATC Joventut.

LEDAY LEAVES

On Friday, Olympiacos confirmed that talented American power forward Zach LeDay has left the organisation:

“Olympiacos BC announces the termination of its agreement with Zach LeDay, wishing him the best of luck for the future.”

LeDay, 25, had joined Olympiacos last summer. In the ensuing 2018/2019 season, LeDay averaged 9.7 points and four rebounds in the EuroLeague, while registering an average of 11.2 points and 4.8 rebounds in the Basket League. Reports have suggested that Zalgiris Kaunas are heavily interested in LeDay.
