In great form, Willem II forward Pavlidis continued his solid scoring run on Wednesday evening, scoring the opening goal of a comfortable 3-0 beating of Sparta at home in the Dutch Cup.

Pavlidis, 21, has now scored four goals in his last five games for Willem II across all competitions. Overall, the young Greek striker has registered 10 goals in the current campaign as his profile continues to rapidly rise.

MITROGLOU SCORES

In the same competition, Kostas Mitroglou finally got back to scoring ways with PSV Eindhoven, as he hit the back of the net in a dramatic 2-1 extra-time victory against GVVV on Wednesday.

Connecting with a pass towards the penalty area, Mitroglou calmly stroked the ball beyond the opposing goalkeeper, in turn scoring his first goal for PSV since early September. Mitroglou, 31, has barely featured for the Dutch side since arriving on loan in the summer.
