The teams in the first two positions of all four groups will qualify for the quarter-finals.

Venice, the reigning Italian champions, earned first place of Group B in the first group phase, only conceded two defeats in 10 games. Boasting one of the best defences in the EuroCup, the Italians are the hot favourites to qualify for the quarter-final stage.

Brescia, also representing Italy, were runners-up to UNICS Kazan in Group C. In their home game against Darussafaka, Brescia only managed to score a lowly 35 points, but they subsequently made a huge improvement to grab second spot of their group. This is the first time when Brescia have qualified for the Last 16 of the EuroCup.

German side Oldenburg tallied six wins in Group D, finishing behind Unicaja and Galatasaray in third position. Oldenburg, currently occupying sixth place of the domestic championship, shone in the maiden group stage of the EuroCup by leading all teams in steals (9.6 spg.) and forcing the most turnovers (16.1).
