Schwab pens two-year deal with PAOK


Austrian midfielder Stefan Schwab has signed a two-year contract with PAOK after leaving Rapid Vienna, the Dikefalos tou Vorra confirmed on Saturday.

This following statement was released by PAOK:

“PAOK FC announces the signing of Stefan Schwab via a free transfer from Rapid Vienna. The Austrian midfielder has signed a two-year contract with the Dikefalos tou Vorra, with the option to extend for another year. He will wear the number 22.”

Schwab, 29, transfers to PAOK as a free agent following the completion of his contract with Rapid Vienna in his native Austria. The central midfielder spent six successful years with Rapid after moving to the capital club from Admira Wacker in 2014.

This is the first time in his career when Schwab will play his club football outside of his home country.

During the 2019/2020 season, Schwab impressed for Rapid across all competitions, contributing with nine goals and 10 assists. He participated in one match for the senior Austrian national team in November 2017.
