The scene is set for the titanic clash at the Karaiskakis Stadium next week. Karol Swiderski, who is the top Super League scorer with seven goals, struck the winner at the Toumba Stadium to secure a 1-0 triumph for PAOK over AEL. Yesterday, Olympiacos were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw by Panionios in Nea Smyrni, meaning the Erythrolefki and PAOK are now level in first place of the table with 27 points each. Mathieu Valbuena’s penalty was cancelled out by Dimitris Emannouilidis in the final minutes.

AEK are continuing to stutter. Following their disastrous loss to Panathinaikos on matchday 10, the Kitrinomavri were in desperate need of a win against Aris at the Olympic Stadium, but they could only play to a disappointing 1-1 draw. Brown Ideye was sent off for Aris in the second half, but that didn’t deter the impressive guests from Thessaloniki, as they took the lead through Daniel Larsson at close range. Petros Mantalos did eventually equalise for AEK, however they never found that elusive winner. AEK are nine points behind Olympiacos and PAOK in third position, while Aris move up to fifth.

In their first game since the sacking of Giannis Anastasiou, Atromitos picked up a vital home win in Peristeri, defeating OFI 2-1 to climb to eighth. Initially, Adil Nabi drew fourth-placed OFI level after Giorgos Manousos scored an early opener, but the Cretans subsequently conceded a dramatic marker in the fifth minute of stoppage time from Petros Giakoumakis.

Xanthi, winless in the Super League since the first week of October, suffered their fourth loss in five games as Lamia claimed an important 1-0 triumph. On the back of their memorable win against AEK, Panathinaikos dropped two points with a 0-0 tie at struggling Panetolikos, while Asteras Tripolis and Volos NFC also played to a goalless draw.

Player of the Week: Apostolos Tsilingiris (Aris)

The 19-year-old goalkeeper showed no signs of nerves in his full Super League debut. Thrown into the deep end with Julian Cuesta and Fabian Ehmann unavailable, Tsilingiris did himself proud at the OAKA, notably making two alert saves to deny Andre Simoes and Ognjen Vranjes. A day he will never forget.

Goal of the Week: Adil Nabi (OFI)

Nabi scored a superb equaliser for OFI at the Peristeri Stadium. Taking aim from just outside the penalty box, Nabi whipped a powerful, rising attempt beyond the sprawling dive of Balazs Megyeri. Unfortunately for OFI, that goal wasn’t enough to earn any points in the Athenian suburb, as Atromitos ended up snatching a winner in injury time.
