In Ioannina, PAS needed to beat PAOK to stand any chance of remaining among the elite, but goals from Chuba Akpom and Yevhen Shakhov sent them down to the newly created Super League 2. As a result of their 2:0 win, PAOK finish the season with 26 victories and four draws, becoming only the second Greek team in history to complete the championship without conceding a single defeat. Panathinaikos initially achieved the feat in the 1963/1964 campaign.

OFI defeated Atromitos 2:0 on the road with an impressive performance, but with Asteras Tripolis thrashing Panionios 3:0 at home, the Cretans remain in 13th spot and will take on Platanias in the relegation/promotion playoff. Asteras climb to 11th position, finishing what has been a thoroughly disappointing campaign on a high note.

Over in Livadeia, AEK required a victory to guarantee third position above Atromitos, and they duly obliged with a comfortable 3:0 beating of relegated Levadiakos. Tasos Bakasetas, Marko Livaja and the prolific Ezequiel Ponce scored the goals for Manolo Jimenez’s troops, who are set to begin their 2019/2020 European campaign in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League.

Ahmed Hassan, Omar Elabdellaoui and Mohamed Camara all struck gold for Olympiacos in Larissa, tallying a 3:0 victory for the UEFA Champions League-bound Erythrolefki against AEL. Olympiacos end the season in second position with a huge 18 (!) point advantage over nearest challengers AEK, while AEL will be happy with avoiding relegation. AEL are 10th with 34 points.

Fifth-placed Aris ran riot against Xanthi 7:2 at the Kleanthis Vikelidis Stadium, Panathinaikos overtook Panetolikos in eighth with a thumping 4:0 triumph over the Agrinio outfit in Athens and Lamia eased past rock bottom Apollon Smyrnis 3:0 away from home to finish an excellent campaign in seventh place.
