Spanoulis cements legacy with dominance of EuroLeague records
After becoming the EuroLeague’s all-time top scorer last week, Vassilis Spanoulis has cemented his legacy as the best player to ever play in the competition.

Olympiacos captain Vassilis Spanoulis made more history last week as he overtook Juan Carlos Navarro for the all-time lead in EuroLeague scoring.
Kill Bill as he is known around Europe now holds top spot in six of the competition’s all-time records, cementing the Greek guard’s legacy as the best player to ever play in the EuroLeague.
In addition to being top scorer in the competition, Spanoulis recently also achieved the top all-time index ranking earlier this season as he once again surpassed Navarro’s mark.
Spanoulis also holds the record for most assists in the EuroLeague ahead of countryman Dimitris Diamantidis, while also holding the record for most minutes logged in the EuroLeague.
Spanoulis’ dynamic ability has made him one of the toughest players to guard over the years and the proof in that comes with his record for the most fouls drawn with nearly 200 more fouls drawn than his next closest rival. Spanoulis’ ability to get to the foul line has helped Kill Bill also secure the record for most made free throws as the lone player to surpass 1000 made free throws.
