OLYMPIC SPORTS: The Greek team finished fifth in the medal table at last weekend’s European Indoor Athletics Championships in Glasgow, marking the best-ever result for Greece in 34 appearances at the event.
OLYMPIC SPORTS: Thanks to Nikoleta Kyriakopoulou’s bronze medal at the 2019 European Indoor Athletics Championships, Greece has now won at least one medal in the women’s pole vault at each of the last 11 major athletics competitions.

OLYMPIC SPORTS: Despite great performances from both youngsters today, neither managed to win a medal as 19-year-old Emmanouil Karalis finished fourth in the pole vault and 20-year-old Konstantinos Zikos finished fifth in the 60 metre dash at the European Indoor Athletics Championships.
