Tsimikas appears to have been snapped up by Liverpool. According to various reports both in England and Greece, Olympiacos have accepted a bid of 16.5 million euros from the Premier League champions, a fee which will subsequently rise to around 20 million following added bonuses. Sport FM has revealed that Olympiacos will also maintain a resale rate of 20% for the gifted 24-year-old.

The Greek international left-back will reportedly undergo his medical in Liverpool tomorrow before he formally signs the five-year deal. Tsimikas is already located in the United Kingdom after flying from Greece on Sunday.

Details concerning his earnings with Liverpool have not been disclosed.

However, despite his fantastic performances over the course of the past two seasons with Olympiacos, Tsimikas will only be used as a back-up option for Andy Robertson in Liverpool. It remains to be seen how much time on the pitch Tsimikas does receive from head coach Jurgen Klopp.

Tsimikas further enhanced his rapidly growing reputation with an excellent showing against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 last week. Overall, the gifted full-back made 46 appearances across all competitions for Olympiacos during the 2019/2020 campaign, contributing with seven assists. He has also participated in three matches for the senior Greek national team.
