Velez signs three-year deal with Panathinaikos
Spanish defender Fran Velez has signed a three-year contract with Panathinaikos, the Athenians confirmed on Tuesday.

This following statement was released by Panathinaikos:
“Panathinaikos FC announces the acquisition of Spanish defender Fran Velez. The contract with the 29-year-old lasts for three years.”
Velez joins Panathinaikos as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Aris.
Over the course of the past two seasons, Velez impressed with his reliable performances with Aris in Thessaloniki, standing out with his leadership and passion. This season, the Spanish centre-back made 32 appearances for Aris across all competitions, contributing with four goals and one assist. Velez received a serious injury while competing against AEK in the third round of the Super League playoffs.
Velez had already agreed to transfer to Panathinaikos in March.
