Verde signs three-year contract with AEK
AEK have unveiled the signing of Daniele Verde from AS Roma, penning a three-year contract with the Italian winger.

On Wednesday evening, AEK released this following statement:
“AEK FC announces the arrival of Daniele Verde from AS Roma. The 23-year-old Italian has signed a three-year contract with our team, choosing his favourite number seven to wear on his shirt and becoming the fifth Italian footballer in the club’s history.”
AEK reportedly paid Roma one million euros to sign Verde on a permanent basis. Verde had been pictured arriving at Athens International Airport this afternoon.
Roma maintain a 30% resale rate on Verde.
Verde plays on the right wing and is full of potential. During the 2018/2019 season, Verde was loaned to Real Valladolid in Spain, tallying six goals in 26 games across all competitions. Verde has also previously played on loan at Frosinone, Pescara, Avellino and Hellas Verona.
Verde commented on the transfer:
“I have received a lot of love here already, and I hope to repay it. Since I was young, I have always loved the number seven, and I hope it brings me luck here. I want to help the team win the championship and progress in Europe. The fans? I have seen videos online of how they support the team, it’s fantastic, they remind me of the Napoli supporters. I want to celebrate lots of victories together. I know that the new stadium will be amazing.”
