With their 3-1 victory over Ostersund in the first leg of the Europa League playoffs, PAOK have taken a huge step towards the competition’s group stages. The goals set by the Thesalonikis for the upcoming season are high in both Greece and Europe and the club’s president Ivan Savvides is ready to take the extra mile to strengthen the club’s roster and achieve these goals.

Former fan favorite, Adelino Vieirinha, seems to be closing in on a return back to PAOK. According to sources, the Dikefalos tou Vora have come to terms with the Portuguese player, who is willing to return to his former team, and PAOK are in negotiations with Wolfsburg to complete his move to Greece. One thing in PAOK’s favor is that Vieirinha’s contract with the German side expires next summer allowing the player to sign with any team he wishes starting January 2018.

Omar El Kaddouri is also close to a move to PAOK as only a few details remain for his move to Thessaloniki. Sources from Italy mention that the transfer is already complete and only minor paperwork must be finished for the 26-year old to be officially announced by PAOK.

Finally, Stefanos Athanasiadis looks as if he will be departing PAOK this summer as the striker has come to terms with Israeli side Maccabi Haifa. The Israelis are in final negotiations with the Dikefalos tou Vora, who want to retain a percentage resell-clause and not an actually transfer fee. According to sportfm.,gr, PAOK have come to terms with Maccabi Haifa and the striker could very well sign with his new club this weekend.
