NFL Win Total Bets: Three Teams to Back in 2021

NFL Win Total Bets: Three Teams to Back in 2021

A new NFL season means the start of a whole new betting strategy for the coming months. As well as backing your chosen team against, or with, the spread or just chasing a simple moneyline winner, a nice smattering of futures bets will always help to round off your sports betting masterplan.

With that in mind we are big fans of the win total betting market as it’s usually a very competitively priced corner of the NFL betting market and usually one you can locate a good bet or two, especially if the sportsbook offering the bet hasn’t taken enough notice of key events.

NFL win bets revolve around you deciding if your chosen team will fare better than a sportsbook thinks they will, and it’s a bet that will last (usually) much of the regular season.

A good way to come to the right conclusion as to where to set your bar is by keeping on top of all the relevant odds comparison markets as well as taking in all the key statistics. We’d recommend you visit Sidelines to do that, as they offer a great deal of insight, and direct links to the best odds in the sports betting market.

With that in mind, here’s three teams we think you should back in the NFL Win Totals market.

Green Bay Packers (Over 10 Wins)

This really is a no-brainer. Aaron Rodgers is still at Lambeau Field, and even though for much of the postseason it looked as if he was leaving, the veteran seems more determined than ever to go out with a bang.

Last season's MVP performances led Green Bay to a 13-3 record and it seems very likely that they will get over 10 wins this time around, especially when you consider this is a 17 game season, and not a 16 game one.

New England Patriots (Over 9 Wins)

Last year Bill Belichick’s side suffered their first losing season in over 20 years but that was a blip, not a change in direction. Tom Brady’s departure hit them hard but New England is too big a team to suffer back to back seasons like the last one.

The Patriots will benefit from having Mac Jones, first round draft pick, challenging Cam Newton for the starting QB spot and though there may not be enough in the roster for Belichick to rack up a seventh Super Bowl, a winning season is very likely indeed.

New York Jets (Under 6 Wins)

Last season was a shocker for the Jets and it cost Adam Gase his job as head coach, though to be fair the poor showing in 2020 wasn’t one that can be placed entirely at his door.

The Jets have experienced six losing seasons on the bounce and though the MetLife Stadium side will hope that newly appointed Robert Saleh can reverse the trend there isn’t much reason to think so. It’s the 42-year-old’s first stint as head coach and he has one hell of a job on his hands and last season’s 2-14 record can’t be easily overcome and therefore backing the Jets to go under six wins seems a safe bet.
