PAS Giannina and Levadiakos Finish Goalless

GREEK SUPERLEAGUE - MATCHDAY 7

PAS Giannina 0 - 0 Levadiakos

PAS Giannina and Levadiakos played to a goalless draw in their rescheduled match from Matchday 7 in the Greek SuperLeague. The match was rescheduled due to an earthquake that hit Giannina in October.

PAS Giannina hosted Levadiakos knowing that a win would send them to second place in the league standings. The hosts were better in the first half, but did not threaten their opponents on many occasions. PAS Giannina did find the back of the net in the 26th minute with Giakos, however the goal was wrongfully called back for offsides.

PAS Giannina continued to dominate the game in the second half and Namasco denied the Epirotes an opener while holding onto the clean sheet for his side. Levadiakos’ biggest chance of the game came in the 56th minute, when Vaggelis Mantzios decided to shoot the ball rather than passing it to his teammate, Karaboue, for a sure opening goal. After 90 minutes of play, the referee brought the match to an end as both teams earned a point from today's and counter.

PAS Giannina now move to second place on 14 points, tied with Panathinaikos and Levadiakos climbs one place to 12th in the standings along with Asteras Tripolis. This weekend, PAS Giannina will host Veria while Levadiakos face off against the last placed team in the league, Iraklis.
