Apollon Larissa fall to Xanthi; Panionios breeze past Olympiacos Volos
Xanthi were too strong for Apollon Larissa as they progressed to the Round of 16 in the Greek Cup, while Panionios thrashed Olympiacos Volos in Nea Smyrni.

XANTHI 3-0 APOLLON LARISSA (AGG. 4-2)
Trailing 2-1 from the first leg, Xanthi recovered in the return to defeat Apollon Larissa 3-0 at home and safely secure progression to the Last 16.
Xanthi immediately made a statement of their intentions, as Jean Barrientos opened the scoring within two minutes. In charge of the game, Xanthi doubled their advantage towards the end of the first half as William hit the target, and Fabio Sturgeon made sure of victory by making it 3-0 in the 49th minute.
To their credit, Apollon Larissa did create opportunities to get back into the tie, but Xanthi weren’t to be denied.

PANIONIOS 6-0 OLYMPIACOS VOLOS (AGG. 9-0)
Panionios have improved greatly in recent weeks. Undefeated in all competitions since late October, the Panthers continued their run of excellent form this afternoon, easily beating Olympiacos Volos 6-0 in Nea Smyrni. Panionios were already leading 3-0 from the first leg.
Konstantinos Doumtsios got the party started in the second minute of proceedings. Dominating the game, Panionios scored two more markers in the first half through Sotiris Tsiloulis.
Tsiloulis subsequently completed his hat trick in the 54th minute.
Oumar Camara and Giannis Papanikolaou joined in on the rout against sorry Olympiacos Volos with two goals in the closing stages.
