At the start of November, Panathinaikos head coach Donis was handed a one-month ban from the dressing room and the touchline after his actions during the 2-2 draw at PAOK. However, after Panathinaikos launched a successful appeal, his punishment has been reduced from 30 to 15 days.

As a result, Donis will be allowed to enter the dressing room and stand on the touchline when Panathinaikos face Panetolikos in Agrinio on Sunday. Panathinaikos currently occupy eighth place of the Super League standings with 12 points from 10 games.

TZANDARIS LEAVES

Panathinaikos have confirmed that midfielder Fanis Tzandaris has left the Athenian club:

“Panathinaikos FC announces the termination of Fanis Tzandaris’ contract. The 26-year-old joined our team in the summer of 2017, subsequently making 29 appearances for the first team. He stood out with his impeccable professionalism and morality. We wish Fanis all of the best for the rest of his career, thanking him for his efforts with Panathinaikos.”

The defensive midfielder joined Panathinaikos from Olympiacos as a free agent in August 2017. Tzandaris had not been a part of the Panathinaikos first team during the opening weeks of the current campaign.

SERPEZIS EXTENDS

At the same time, Panathinaikos also revealed that young midfielder Dimitris Serpezis has extended his contract with the club until 2022:

“Panathinaikos FC announces the extension of Dimitris Serpezis’ contract until 2022. Born on November 14, 2001, Serpezis is in his eighth year with the club. The 18-year-old midfielder is a key member of the Panathinaikos youth team.”
