Hungary beat Greece in Budapest
EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS - PRELIM. ROUND, GROUP A (MATCHDAY 4)
Host Hungary defeated Greece 13-10 in the group stage at the 2020 Women’s European Water Polo Championship.

Things were even from the get-go, as the score was 4-4 after the first period of play. However, the hosts then found themselves ahead 8-6 by halftime, and 10-6 after the third period of play. The Hungarians ultimately won 13-10, clinching the top spot in Group A.
Christina Kotsia, Margarita Plevritou, and Eleni Xenaki led Greece offensively with two goals each.
Greece will now face Russia on Sunday, in the final match of group play. The winner of that match will clinch the second spot in the group, while the loser will finish in third place in Group A.
