AEK released this following statement on Friday:
“AEK FC announces the signing of under 21 international Giannis Iatroudis, who has penned a contract with our team until June 2024 and will wear the number 17!”
“This is a very big step in my footballing career,” remarked Iatroudis after completing the transfer. “After playing in the second division, I am now going to represent one of the biggest teams in Greece, something which makes me really happy. I felt great joy and satisfaction when I heard that AEK were expressing interest. I want to establish myself here and earn the trust of the coach.”
Iatroudis has transferred to AEK as a free agent from Ergotelis. On the international stage, the talented 21-year-old striker has made four appearances for the under 21 Greek national team, scoring the one goal in a 1-1 friendly draw against Montenegro in Athens in March 2019.
