The length of his Olympiacos contract was not stipulated.

In an interview with Olympiacos, Torosidis expressed his emotions from the news: “When I left Olympiacos in 2013, I did say that I would return,” stated Torosidis. “I believe that this team is capable of playing at a high level and we have to forget last season in order to become champions again. A message to the fans? This will be a tough season, but we want the supporters to be on our side so we can achieve our ambitious goals together.”

Born in Xanthi, the versatile defender began his career with the local club, before moving to Olympiacos in 2007 where he would play in 185 matches, score 17 goals and make 20 assists. Torosidis transferred to AS Roma in January 2013 and then represented Bologna for two years from 2016 to 2018. With the Greek national team, he has made 96 appearances and registered 10 markers.
