First of all, Olympiacos confirmed the signing of a contract with Reed:
“Olympiacos BC announces the agreement with American center, Willie Reed.”
Reed, 29, is making the jump to Europe for the first time in his career. Previously, the powerful center had played in a combined total of 152 NBA matches for the Brooklyn Nets, Miami Heat, Los Angeles Clippers and the Detroit Pistons despite the fact that he wasn’t picked by anyone in the 2011 Draft. He has played the majority of his basketball in the NBA G League.
The American was suspended for six NBA games in 2018 after a domestic violence charge.
ROCHESTIE JOINS
Later in the day, Olympiacos then revealed the arrival of Taylor Rochestie:
“Olympiacos BC announces the agreement with experienced guard, Taylor Rochestie.”
The 34-year-old point guard joins Olympiacos after one year in China with the Tianjin Gold Lions and the Anhui Dragons.
In the past, Rochestie has represented the likes of Galatasaray, ALBA Berlin, Nizhny Novgorod, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Lokomotiv Kuban in Europe, most recently playing in the EuroLeague with Red Star Belgrade in the 2017/2018 campaign.
