Olympiacos claimed their third win in four EuroLeague games, confidently defeating Olimpia Milano 91-70 at the Peace and Friendship Stadium.

The Erythrolefki are finally building up momentum. Playing with more confidence, Kestutis Kemzura’s troops have impressed in their recent EuroLeague matches, defeating Zalgiris, ALBA Berlin and now Olimpia Milano. Olympiacos possess a 5-6 record after 11 rounds.

Olimpia Milano now have seven wins and four defeats on the board.

Nikola Milutinov, who has been a shining light for Olympiacos this season, achieved an excellent double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Kostas Papanikolaou tallied 17 points, while the legendary Vassilis Spanoulis scored 14 points. The 37-year-old is now the all-time index rating leader:

Olympiacos will face arch-rivals Panathinaikos at the OAKA Indoor Hall next week. Milano will host Red Star Belgrade.

THE MATCH

Milano started strongly and opened up a four-point advantage in the opening quarter.

Nevertheless, the Greeks did gain a foothold in the game during the second period, getting back on level terms before taking a three-point advantage as Giorgos Printezis hit the target.

An accurate three-pointer from Spanoulis put Olympiacos up by nine in the early stages of the third frame.

Olympiacos put the game to bed in the third quarter, tallying a large 31 points while restricting Milano to just 16.

Controlling the match, Olympiacos comfortably saw the match out in the fourth, once again catching the eye with tight, solid defensive play.
