Pamlidis, PAS Giannina salvage draw against Ergotelis

PAS Giannina found themselves trailing against Ergotelis twice at home in the Super League 2, but two goals from Giorgos Pamlidis saved a 2-2 draw.

One of the main favourites for promotion, PAS Giannina struggled to build up any momentum at home to Ergotelis, and goals from Joseph Efford and Manolis Rovithis twice gave the visitors the lead. Nevertheless, PAS did salvage a point, as Pamlidis notched two equalisers in the second half.
PAS Giannina sit in fifth place of the Super League 2 standings with five points from three games. Ergotelis, who have a strong squad at their disposal, are in 10th with only one point on the board. The Cretans had previously lost against Apollon Smyrnis and Platanias respectively.
PAS travel to FC Chania next week while Ergotelis host AOK Kerkyra.
THE MATCH
It took Ergotelis 19 minutes to make the breakthrough.
With the PAS defence horribly out of position, Charles Kwateng sent a pass across the penalty area to Efford, who tapped the ball into the empty net.
PAS almost responded instantly, but a long-range strike from Stefanos Siontis was brilliantly tipped onto the bar by the Ergotelis goalkeeper.
Vladyslav Naumets then lashed off target from a promising position as PAS began to increase the pressure.
The hosts eventually got on level terms in the 55th minute. After drawing a foul in the penalty area, Pamlidis dusted himself down to convert the ensuing spot-kick.
However, Ergotelis only needed three minutes to take the lead again, as Rovithis completed a flowing move.
Ergotelis were moving closer to their first league win of the season, but with 17 minutes remaining Pavlidis equalised again - this time in wonderful fashion.
Collecting a long pass, Pamlidis cleverly controlled the ball before beating the goalkeeper with a perfect lob.
PAS thought they had snatched a victory in stoppage time, but a header from Jean-Baptiste Leo was stopped on the line.
