Panathinaikos confirm Sanchez signing alongside television project
Panathinaikos confirmed both the signing of full-back Facundo Sanchez and the decision to create their own television channel for the 2020/2021 season.

This following statement was released with regard to Sanchez:
“Panathinaikos FC announces the acquisition of Argentine defender Facundo Sanchez. The contract with the 30-year-old footballer has a duration of two years.”
Sanchez has transferred to Panathinaikos as a free agent following the completion of his contract with Estudiantes in his native Argentina.
This will be the first time in his career when the right-back will play his club football in a foreign country. In the past, Sanchez has also represented Colon, Defensa and Tigre. He has been signed as a replacement for Mattias Johansson.
PANATHINAIKOS TV ON ITS WAY
In other news, Panathinaikos confirmed that the organisation has ended its cooperation with Nova as it prepares to launch its own television channel:
“Today, Nova submitted a bid of 5.7 million euros to Panathinaikos FC for the television rights, an offer which is unprofitable. The offer is only half of what is proposed for Olympiacos (11 million euros) and less than what AEK has been offered (6.5 million euros). Furthermore, Panathinaikos is proceeding with Panathinaikos TV.”
Panathinaikos TV is due to broadcast all home matches of the Prasini in the Super League during the 2020/2021 campaign.
