The Panetolikos Stadium has surely witnessed much better spectacles than what was on offer in this low-key affair, but what matters is who came away with the points and it was the Kanarinia thanks to Farley Rosa’s superb 53rd-minute goal.
The 27-year-old Brazilian midfielder left visiting goalkeeper Matik Kotnik with no chance, firing home a powerful shot from distance to claim the victory for Makis Chavos’ team
The result means that Panetolikos moved seven points clear of Panionios, whose impending doom only increased ahead of the Playout series which will follow after the end of the regular season.
